Lord, thank you for another day of life. Thank you for your tender mercy and your unconditional love for me. When the world is sinking sand, God, You outstretch your hand and pull me to safety. When I fall short of your glory, You extend grace and mercy. When I turn away from You because I don’t want to accept the truth or the reality of a situation, You mend my heart and remind me that You haven’t changed in spite of what’s going on around me. Help me to know that in a world that is constantly changing that You remain the same. Your word doesn’t change, neither do your promises of hope and a prosperous future. In the moments when I begin to play out scenarios of doubt, Holy Spirit, settle my mind and bring to my remembrance the scriptures that speak life into me. The reality is that in every season of our lives, You remain the same. We can count on You to meet every need and to bring revelation. When we keep our eyes fixed on You, You give us a promise of perfect peace. Today, as I go out into the world, I clothe myself with the elements of your character – compassion, kindness, patience, humility, gentleness. May You get the glory out of my life.
