Lord, thank You for Your presence, Your compassion, and Your grace. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, but there is one thing I know for certain. Even in the darkest valleys, You were with me. When it looked like the world was going to consume me into its never ending cycles of chaos, I saw Your hand stretched out toward me, beckoning me to hold on to You. As I reflect back on the toughest seasons of my life — times of grief, heartbreak, anxiety, sickness — I feel your presence. You didn’t allow me to wander in the darkness alone because You had a greater plan for my life and wanted to confirm that Your word is true. Somehow You used my pain for Your glory, and the testimony of how You brought me out has been a word of encouragement for others. I don’t have to be afraid of anything because You, Jehovah Shalom, the God of Peace, are walking with me, stirring up a faith so deep that nothing can shake it.
You meet us where we are — in an alleyway, in a jail cell, in the back of the classroom, on our last ounce of strength. We’re never too far away from You that You can’t reach us and call us back home to You. I pray my faith in You will increase as fear and anxiety decrease. Give me the prayers to speak and the scriptures to declare that stir up my hope and keep me moving forward. Let Your light shine brightly in and through me today, Lord. Thank You for holding my hand through every valley and every storm. In Jesus’ name I pray and give You thanks, Amen.
